Will they find me if I leave?

Okay so I'm 20 and have been in New Zealand for almost 3yrs now.. I hold a Brit pport.. I had the roughest 3 yrs of my life here and am now owing almost NZD$19,000.00. It started of at me borrowing 3k from the bank to get a car. I only had that car for 2wks and I crashed it, UNinsured into a car that crashed into a van. I've also some fines from the police for driving recklessly. Now it's all summed up to nearly 19k! So basically my question here is, I've got dreams and I really want to persue them but these debts are holding me back! If i leave New Zealand for the U.K, will they look for me?? Pls help me I konw im not owing much but for a 20yr old and with nobody helping, it's a big sum and its really holding me back...
