I keep getting a CAVTray.exe-corrupt file message on my computer, is there a way to fix this?

This message pops up on my computer as an error and in a balloon message as follows; "CAVTray.exe-corrupt file. The file or directoryC: is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the check disk utility". I have ran the disk check twice to no avail. I have not noticed any difference in the performance of my computer nor have I noticed any other problems yet. The message is annoying and would really appreciate any feedback or help on how to fix this problem. Please someone say it is fixable. Thank you very much.
