What happens when you geld a 5yr old stallion?

well because your horse is older than the regular age to geld (quite young ... around 1 yrs) it might not completely work and he might become a rig which are not worth as much as stallions or geldings because they have had the operation but it hasnt worked ... my yearling is being gelded in may =s :P ..x happy gelding =D
