I'm American (from kansas, we have the flattest accent of all the states probably because we are dead center) and My boyfriend is British, and he and his friends get a total kick out of it when I say "Awesome!" Also, when we first started dating, we were talking on the phone and I said: "Beats me." Then without skipping a beat he went: "I'm not going to BEAT you!" I wll never forget that!
