In a chicken salad recipe, can I use shrimp instead of the chicken?

The recipe calls for twist pasta, dried cherries, slivered almonds, celery, cooked chicken, and poppy seed dressing. I need the recipe to be meatless. Can I use shrimp instead of the chicken.
