What would happen if we DID overtax & overburden the rich and used that money to creat jobs?

The tax system is too powerful of a tool for sweeping changes to occur without compulsion from the general public. It is easily used by government to create desired behavior by creating deductions and credits from our tax burden. Likewise the additional fines and charges that come with many behaviors. These can be good or bad, depending on where you are, and how you see things. There are reasons why major changes will not occur, and the biggest reasons are always money(power) related. This is also the reason that nationalized health care is not likely to happen. (Obamacare is not nationalized health care, folks.) This is mainly because the government cannot be sued for damages that could occur under such plans, or would be greatly curtailed. Lawyers will not push for such a system without being pushed. (Thank heavens).
